Info Post

Bedding is a great Christmas gift: I don't know anyone who doesn't sleep better between a pair of fabulous sheets, but many people - myself included - hesitate to treat themselves to quality bedding. When Gingerlily invited me to look around their site, I immediately spotted a few items I'd love to find under my tree on Christmas morning.

-I love the colour of the Louis bedspread. I think it would look great against a nailhead upholstered headboard in a medium grey (something like this).

-You can't go wrong with white sheets, especially as a gift. They suit every style and go with every type of decor. I don't love the sheen of silk sheets, but they're ridiculously comfortable. Pairing them with a rustic texture like wool or linen would help balance the silk's sheen.

-I'm obsessed with throw blankets and I'd love to add this one to my collection. It looks so soft and cozy.

This silk-filled duvet isn't pictured above, but it's at the top of my wish list (along with the throw). Adam and I bought our duvet a couple of years ago and we chose an environmentally-friendly, synthetic option at the last minute. I love how heavy it is, but I really don't like how hot it is. It definitely doesn't breathe like a down-filled duvet, although it cost just as much. The silk-filled duvet is designed to keep you warm in winter and cool in summer. According to the site, the filling adjusts to your body and the ambient room temperature. Sounds pretty good, right? I want to try one.

Is bedding on your wish list this year?
