Info Post

Hannah turned 18-months old on February 5th. I remember when she was a newborn, feeling like it would take forever for her to reach this age (probably during one of those sleepless nights, haha). And now I can't believe that we're here already.

She's a non-stop talker, not unlike her parents, oscillating between words and toddler babble. Her two favourite phrases are, "No, no, no, no" and "Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!" ;) She loves music - especially drumming! - loves the outdoors (often, she flat out refuses to come inside), and loves to draw and paint. She's also very loving, and makes the cutest "Awww" sound when she hugs you, which is often.

She has a great sense of humour, and is constantly finding ways to make us laugh. But she has a mischievous side as well. Her favourite activity is arranging things - I don't know what else to call it. We keep empty shampoo bottles in the shower because she likes lining them up along the lip of the tub during bath time. And last night she lined up her new plastic forks in a row on our bed. When we tried finger painting, she spent more time rearranging the paint containers than actually painting!

At each stage in Hannah's life, other parents have told us that it keeps getting better. And it's true. She's started enthusiastically helping out around the house, and while some tasks are messier than others (ahem, washing dishes), it's such a fun new way to interact. We even let her feed the dog, which she loves, and she's pretty good at getting the food in the bowl, too. Mostly, I'm just regularly blown away by how quickly she's growing, developing and changing every day.

I took a photo of Hannah every month until she turned one. Now I'm taking her photo every six months. You can check out the rest of the series here
