Info Post

We weren't planning to replace the flooring in our bathroom - the existing linoleum wouldn't have been our first choice, but it was fine - and then we discovered that the subfloor under the toilet needed to be replaced. Water damage :(

The situation isn't dire, but we want to address it before it gets that way (we asked our contractor to look at the floor during our stair reno and he confirmed what we need to do). And hey, now we have an excuse to install some pretty tile, right?

This sample board came home with me yesterday and we're pretty sure about the white hex tile in the top left hand corner with dark grout. My second choice is the white octagon, but Adam is less keen on that one. The hex tile has a classic, vintage feel to it, and I think the small scale will work well in our little bathroom.

It's hard to imagine with only the tiny sample board to go on, but these photos should give you an idea of what we're envisioning. Let the tiling begin!
